» Back at the Windmill with The Dexateens tomorrow! (Sat 11th)

Deathline are back at The Windmill just three days after we headlined last Wednesday, this time as last minute special guests of our friends, the MIGHTY Dexateens, from Tuscaloosa Alabama.

We're not exaggerating when we say that they're probably the finest live band you're likely to see. They mix beautiful Southern Rock licks with old school punk rock attitude and blow you away in a mist of Jack Daniels. We went to see them yesterday, also at The Windmill, where they played a blistering set of raw southern rock tinged songs. Saturday's return trip promises to be a faster punkier set. Can't wait. Today they're in Wales headlining the Tapestry festival, if you're lucky enough to be there.

Please come see! You will not regret it. Norwegian Motorhead-esque rockers Bulwark headline with pan European gothic punks Bloody Heels opening up and we still have some free six track CD's to give away.

» US tour kicks off Sat 18th August in NYC

Upcoming dates:
» 18/8 Otto's Shrunken Head, New York, NY
» 21/8 The Khyber, Philadelphia, PA
» 22/8 NYC (tbc)
» 23/8 The Annex, Madison, WI
» 24/8 Chicago (tbc)
» 25/8 SLCC07, Chicago Hilton Convention Center, Chicago, IL
Sept:
» 14/9 Up All Night @ The Wilmington, Clerkenwell, London

The US dates kick off in New York at the rather smashingly named Otto's Shrunken Head on Saturday the 18th. The day we fly in. Any New Yorkers out there should come see us and smell the jet lag. Oh yes.

We then move on a couple of days later to Philadelphia, where we play The Khyber with Bang Lime, a stripped down rock duo, who feature Metric's Joshua Scott Key on drums. Then we jet to the midwest to support surf punks The Pistols at Dawn at the Annex (reportedly home to the finest Bloody Marys in the US) in Madison Wisconsin.

The short tour completes as we headline the Second LIfe Community Convention at the Hilton Convention Center in Chicago. This one will also be simulcast into Second Life. More details as we know 'em.

We're still working to confirm dates in New York on the 22nd and Chicago on the 24th. We'll let you know as soon as we do.

Big big thanks to all who've helped us with getting this tour together, especially Tyler who selflessly did most of the work and is putting us up in New York and Elle (aka Nethermind) who has heroically put the SLCC bill together. Also thanks to Harriet, PJ, Elliott and Deborah who came in with some invaluable last minute assistance.

Please let any friends and family you have in the areas we're playing to come and check us out. We'd really appreciate it. We'll be doing an obligatory tour diary thing on our MySpace blog.
